Rebuilding the operating layer for enterprise paid media.
Izzie Rivers founded R-ai to address a problem she had seen repeatedly throughout her career in B2B media: enterprise paid-media planning remained fragmented across spreadsheets, agencies, platforms and manual processes. She made a deliberate decision not to build another reporting dashboard.
R-ai was designed as an AI operating system capable of taking a client brief and supporting the planning, activation and ongoing optimization of enterprise media programs. Rivers also made an unusually difficult early choice. Rather than postpone enterprise procurement, privacy and information-security requirements, R-ai confronted them from the beginning, including the completion of a full Data Protection Impact Assessment for an S&P 500 customer.
Within approximately three months of commercial launch, R-ai grew from zero to approximately £800,000 in recurring revenue, with two contracted S&P 500 enterprise clients. The qualified waitlist behind those accounts was valued at approximately £3 million in annual recurring revenue.
The product's commercial performance established R-ai as a live enterprise platform rather than an interesting experiment.
